  • Getting Things Done by David Allen
  • The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

The 10 habits of Zen To Done

  1. Collect - Immediately gather all information in one place.
  2. Process - Quickly decide what to do with incoming items, without postponing.
  3. Plan - Establish the Most Important Tasks (MIT) for the week and the day.
  4. Do - Focus on one task at a time, without distractions.
  5. Simple and reliable system - Make simple lists, check them daily.
  6. Organize - A place for everything, everything in its place.
  7. Review - Check the system and goals weekly.
  8. Simplify - Reduce goals and tasks to the essentials.
  9. Routine - Establish and follow daily and weekly routines.
  10. Find your passion - Look for work that you are passionate about.

The minimalist method

For those who want to implement the simplest possible system, there is the minimalist version of ZTD, consisting of just four essential habits: Collect, Process, Plan, Do.
